genius resides

genius resides

curious pain lingers,
it’s grip within reach
of self and tomorrow.
fallen leaves cascade,
the trunk remains
veins cast outward,
branches frame memory
and the crying never stops.

soft sobs engulf
diffuse anguish entails
reason fraught with symmetry,
mirrored in misery.
a rainstorm of madness
cloaks the artist within;
calm at the eye of the storm,
genius resides.

return to now

return to now

I look into the mirror
eyes haunting
time looking back
pause, and remember
I can’t find my way home

silence envelops,
ceasing
image gone wild
in a field of color
crystalline madness

serenity, sunshine
blue steel pulse
frosted casualty
I live again
and return to now

bring your beauty back

bring your beauty back
to hear your laughter dance through trees
and see the dream in your eyes,
I slipping gently down your thighs
again, time falling over the edge
as you bring me to my knees.
I need your touch, and ask you please
bring your beauty back into my life
