Turned aside
Warfare, greed, and catastrophe
around the world abound,
genocide and corrupted lies
foster unholy political ties--
from the earth this cannot hide
from the stars comes the giant tide
tsunami
tsunami
devastation tragedy magnified.
global relief effort unified;
inside we try to dignify
all the moments we turned aside
from the pain and the horror
of humanity divergent pacified.
